Super Time Force Is Coming to Steam Later This Summer

July 2, 2014 by Tony Ponce

The soundtrack to Capybara Games’ time-manipulating shooter is also available.

Capybara Games' Super Time Force arrived this past May on Xbox One and Xbox 360, but PC users can now get excited with the announcement that the time-tweaking adventure will grace Steam later this summer. It's receiving a new title, Super Time Force Ultra, thanks to a medley of new features that Capybara is keeping quiet about at the moment.

Super Time Force is about the titular crew hopping though time to save dinosaurs from extinction. It plays a lot like old-school shooters such as Contra and Metal Slug, but time manipulation adds a completely new dimension to the action. Slowing down time only scratches the surface of what you can accomplish — the real strength is in your ability to die, rewind the clock to a point before you bit the big one, then respawn along with a ghost of your previous run for additional fire power. In this manner, you can assemble an entire army of ghosts to take down the mightiest of foes!

Also announced is the release of Super Time Force's 53-song soundtrack by Canadian chiptune artist 6955. It's available for $7.99 on Bandcamp and $9.99 on iTunes (Apple tax strikes again!).
