We learned at E3 that Bayonetta 2 would be accompanied by a port of the original Bayonetta, free of charge. We also learned that the original would receive some extras, namely a variety of costumes themed after famous Nintendo icons. Only costumes based on Princess Peach from Mario, Samus from Metroid, and Link from Zelda were revealed, although it was hinted that more were a possiblity. Now we can confirm the fourth (and possibly final) costume: Princess Daisy, also from the Mario series.
A recent round of game screens included the above shot of the leggy witch cycling through a compact with icons representing each of the costumes. Eagle-eyed fans noticed that the fourth icon — a sunflowflower with green seeds — is the same as the one used to represent Daisy in the games she participates in. A few days ago, YouTube gaming channel NomComms posted a video demonstrating Bayonetta in her Daisy attire, confirming the connection.
While the other three costumes exhibit unique abilities, like Samus' arm cannon and Link's sword, it seems that Daisy shares the same power as Peach in that both can summon Bowser's limbs. At least, that's the assumption that can be made from the footage below (jump to the 3:00 mark to see Diasy Bayonetta in action).
Bayonetta, along with Bayonetta 2, arrives on Wii U in October.
