3G Studios, an independent game developer based in Nevada, has announced that they are currently working on a full-fledged 3D first person shooter for facebook.
The upcoming shooter will allow players to create and customize avatars, to fight against friends in online match-ups. Players will also be able to earn points, which can be spent on an in-game store to buy upgrades. 3G studios is encouraging facebook users to reserve their name for an upcoming public beta by visiting their Facebook page.
In an interview with Worlds in Motion, 3G Studios CEO James Kosta said,
Our new title, Brave Arms, will bring First-Person Shooter games to the masses. It’s about fast-paced action and either competing against or forming teams with your friends. We want people to feel empowered and to share in a real video game experience.
It will be interesting to see how the game is received by facebook users, specially those who consider gaming as a casual affair.
3G Studios have worked on games like Jillian Michaels Fitness Ultimatum 2009 for the Wii, SWAT: Target Liberty for the PSP, Stacked with Daniel Negreanu, also for the PSP, and have also contributed to the first Rock Band game.
