Mortal Kombat X Gameplay Trailer Unveiled For Playstation 4

June 9, 2014 by Ryan Parreno

Netherrealm Games’ next fighter has it in the gameplay department, if not quite graphics.

Netherrealm have shared our 1st look at Mortal Kombat X Gameplay, for the Playstation 4.

The gameplay trailer shows eternal rivals Sub-Zero and Scorpion squaring off, as well as two new characters, another takeoff on the Queen Bee, and a Master and Blaster type team, straight out of Mad Max Beyond The Thunderdome.

It does seem like the smaller character is an actual child rather than a little person, which makes me a bit uneasy about Fatalities, but gameplay shows the Blaster figure getting hurt and the Master just getting thrown off.

Regarding gameplay itself, graphics may not be as good as in the original cinematic trailer, but for the fighting game hardcore, this is satisfying. It appears to run in a stable 60 FPS, and transitions to cinematic X-Ray Attacks and back to regular gameplay is seamless. We also reconfirm a lot of what we know from the 1st trailer, about Mortal Kombat X is carrying over many gameplay elements from Injustice.

That’s the extent of what we know for now. We’ll make sure to keep you up to date on the latest regarding Mortal Kombat X. For now, you can watch the trailer below (warning: graphic content).
