EA Games officially revealed Battlefield Hardline at their E3 2014 presentation today. Details about the game, which was leaked late last month, bears a strong resemblance to Battlefield 4 with cops and robbers instead of soldiers.
Instead of showcasing the game’s single-player campaign, EA chose instead to reveal a staged multiplayer mission in which robbers escape pursuit from the police while leaving much of the city in ruins, Michael Bay style.
The trailer showcased a host of weapons used by both the cops and robbers, including a baseball bat and a shotgun.
Unlike Payday 2’s 4-player combat, Battlefield Hardline supports up to 32 players online.
Along with the announcement of the game, EA Games announced the closed beta for Battlefield Hardline on both the PC and PS4, where it runs at 1080p and 60fps. Head on over here to participate to the Battlefield Hardline beta.
