Game developer The Astronauts released a trailer for their upcoming video game The Vanishing of Ethan Carter and it looks beautiful for an independent title.
The game is a first-person weird fiction horror where you play an occult detective named Paul Prospero in an attempt to solve a mystery surrounding the missing boy Ethan Carter. The trailer shows a lush forest and a beautfiful landscape of mountains and lake. It can remind players of the game Alan Wake. You can read more about the game on the developer's website.
"This is the first trailer for the game, with the focus on the mood of the story the players can experience, and the visuals one can expect from the game. The trailer is a real-time in-game capture (PC), just with the cameras set to tell a certain story. The game is made in Unreal Engine, and uses the photogrammetry technology," the press release reads.
The Vanishing of Ethan Carter is set for release on PC platforms during Q3 2014.
