Fans of Minecraft are familiar with all manner of hostile creatures, which show up in the world when you least expect it and in the most inconvenient of times (such as when you’re building a house and want to be left alone).
Needless to say, hostiles are part and parcel of the Minecraft experience, and now the game’s lead developer, Jens Bergensten has announced that he is currently developing a new hostile mob.
He describes the monster as living underwater, not a shark, and that it’s “going to be nasty, but currently doesn’t do much” probably because he hasn’t programmed it to do anything yet.
Just what can it be, exactly? Some players seem to have ideas. One player on reddit, BootstrapBuckaroo, created the following illustration of what he believes the monster to look like.
Of course, that’s probably not what it looks like given that the only people who know what it looks like work at Mojang. Expect it to be pretty awesome, though, given their penchant for creating interesting things.
