President Obama is currently on a three nation tour of Eastern Europe where he's vowed to increase US military capacity in the region in light of the Ukraine crises and sought to boost transatlantic economic ties but by far the most important part of his trip, which began with a visit to Poland, was his revelation that he had been gifted a copy of The Witcher 2.
Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk gave Obama a copy of local developer CD Projekt RED's game and the president had this to say on the matter:
"The last time I was here, Donald gave me a gift, the video game developed here in Poland that’s won fans the world over, The Witcher. I confess, I’m not very good at video games, but I’ve been told that it is a great example of Poland’s place in the new global economy. And it’s a tribute to the talents and work ethic of the Polish people as well as the wise stewardship of Polish leaders like prime minister Tusk."
You can watch Obama's comments here though there is a Polish voiceover.
Sadly, it's unclear where the Obama Administration stands on the great conflict of our time, the Platform Wars, or on which system he has the game for.
The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is set for release in February 2015.
