It seems Activision themselves could no longer keep this one under wraps, and one does wonder why they even bothered. E3’s official site seems to have confirmed that Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare is coming to the Wii U.
Given all the talk from Sledgehammer Games that this was one of those games only possible in next gen, one wonders what this is about. Maybe Sledgehammer is designing a special version for this console? The game description makes no distinction between them, however. It promises the same groundbreaking experience, featuring the same exoskeleton suits, and the same Kevin Spacey.
Perhaps Sledgehammer has sought to differentiate the Wii U version via the GamePad, or Miiverse, or maybe even something crazier and unheard of. It is worth remembering that Sledgehammer was also involved in bringing Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 to Wii, alongside other consoles, so this isn’t a wholly foreign situation for them.
In any case, there’s no getting around this, as you can plainly see E3’s official site has the console listed among other platforms. Nope, this reveal hasn't been taken down or anything of the sort. In any case, Wii U owner or not, it should be interesting to see what Sledghammer Games and Activision has lined up to reveal this E3.
Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare is coming November 2014 to Windows, PS4, Xbox One, PS3, Xbox 360, and the Wii U.
