Sledgehammer Games says that despite its current work on Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, the company hasn't let go of its other Call of Duty project.
Described as an "action adventure" the game was purported to be in development at the studio, which was founded by former developers of Dead Space.
"Right now Sledgehammer's 100% focused on Modern Warfare 3," said Activision Publishing CEO Eric Hirshberg. "We haven't announced the future slate or future plans for the studio. They were originally working on an extension of the Call of Duty franchise into an action/adventure genre and that's a game I still want to play."
Activision hasn't officially announced the other game, so whether they plan to do so after the release of Modern Warfare 3 is anyone's guess.
