Curve Studios has informed DigitalSpy that its upcoming games The Swapper, MouseCraft, and TItan Attacks will not be released on Xbox One due to Microsoft's controversial launch parity clause.
The clause means that games must be released on Xbox at the same time as other platforms such as PlayStation. Curve's three games are all coming to Sony's platforms first.
"Unfortunately, all these titles here get ruled out by the parity clause," Curve's managing director Jason Perkins commented.
Jonathan Biddle, design director, added, "We feel like it's unnecessary handcuffs really, but that's the way they've decided to run that."
Their comments come after Curve marketing director Rob Clarke called the parity clause a "shame," telling IGN most of the industry wants it gone.
However, Curve's current line-up was announced before Microsoft revealed details of the ID@Xbox games initiative and future games from the studio should arrive on Xbox One as well as other platforms.
"That's the plan," Perkins said. "It's important for us, we want to be."
Biddle noted: "We're platform agnostic. We'll support everyone. What works for us is having many as healthy competitors as possible.
"They'll all try and promote the games they've got, and that's what we want. We want a healthy ecosystem, so we want everyone to do well."
The Swapper is set for release on June 24th in North America and on June 25th in Europe while Titan Attacks is out today in North America and tomorrow in Europe. MouseCraft is set for July 8th in North America and July 9th in Europe.
Curve recently announced that Stealth Inc. 2 will be a Wii U exclusive.
