Bound by Flame Collaborates with Assassin’s Creed 4 Composer

April 25, 2014 by Yesika Reyes

The latest music trailer highlights the music of the game and the notable people behind it.

Spiders Games recently released a new trailer for their upcoming RPG Bound by Flame that highlights the music in the game. The developer revealed that they got Olivier Deriviere, composer of Remember Me and Assassin's Creed IV, and singer Ire Zhekova to work on the title's soundtrack.

"I thought that it would be interesting to have a contrast between the dead and the living. To do so, I wanted to use the a choir of the whispering dead against a voice full of emotion," Deriviere said in the video about emphasizing the humanity and the flame demon possessing the hero. He also noted that he created unique soundscapes to fit the different areas in the game.

Ire Zhekova also talked about how she used different sound textures. She also sang in different voices related to emotions like fear and hope to breathe life into the video game. The developer used an imagrinary language for her singing so that she could express "emotions that were beyond words."

Several hours of music were created for this game and the excerpts of the score are available for people to listen to:

We recently posted screenshots of the game the developer released that showcased the game's characters. You can also learn more about the game's combat mechanics from our earlier articles as well.

Bound by Flame will be released on PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Microsoft Windows, and Xbox 360 on May 9th.
