GRID Autosport Will Be A Return To Form, Promises Codemasters

April 22, 2014 by Ryan Parreno

Codemasters says they have heard the fans, and the next GRID game will be more in line with what they want.

Codemasters has finally revealed their next game in the GRID series, GRID Autosport, coming to PC, PS3 and Xbox 360 this June 27. After listening to the feedback of their dedicated fans, they promise this one will be a return to form.

Codemasters has basically owed up to making choices in GRID 2 that were not in line with what fans wanted from the series, short of calling the mistakes. With that in mind, they have and are producing patches for GRID 2 to match those expectations better, but the only way they could really please fans is with a new game. And so, we have GRID Autosport.

Codemasters primarily revised the handling, bringing it more in line with a simulation. It’s not a full sim, but you will feel the personality of each car.

GRID Autosport will also offer different disciplines, aka motorsports, for different ways of playing. You can play through the traditional Touring Cars races, play a game of tire management in Endurance, master smooth driving skills in Open-Wheel races, or show your flair for acting on the fly with Street Races. You can choose to focus on one style, or switch between them to develop your overall skills.

Other enhancements have been made in terms of a career mode, more varied maps, and online multiplayer powered by RaceNet. There will be team gameplay too, but most importantly, community feedback will be an integral part of GRID Autosport. You can check out the official trailer here.
