Guild Wars 2 is being updated today with the release of the April 2014 Feature Pack, which includes a host of content free of charge for players of the game.
The feature packs are a move away from the game’s previous “Living World” content updates, with an increased focus on features and game systems rather than story content.
The April 2014 Feature Pack contains the implementation of Mega Servers, which will make it easier than ever for players on different servers to play together on every PvE map regardless of their home world.
In addition to Mega Servers, the pack also includes a brand new Wardrobe System that allows players to collect every skin imaginable and dress up however they choose. It’s similar to the Transmogrification system in Diablo 3: Reaper of Souls.
Unlike other MMORPGs, players do not have to pay a subscription fee to gain access to the feature pack contents. Further details about the DLC can be found here.
