Long awaited spiritual successor Road Redemption is now available on Alpha. If you didn’t back them via Kickstarter, but want to play it now, you can play it now for $ 40.
As it is, the game’s graphics are still in a barebone state, but in terms of gameplay, it already looks the look of Road Rash, and then some. Take other bikers out with a steel pipe, and some (presumably placeholder) blood splatter briefly sprays the screen. While some would argue that it’s still not worth the purchase given its current state, for fans eagerly awaiting the return of Road Rash type gameplay may feel it’s already worth it.
For $ 40, you will also get access to all future versions, including Steam Early Access, a Steam key, a digital copy of the Road Redemption concept art book, a DRM free copy of the soundtrack, and a ‘nice’ preorder in-game weapon – a chrome barbed wire baseball bat.
Add $ 30 on top of that and you also get a D-3X70 CONCEPT motorcycle in-game, your name engraved in the Gang’s Clubhouse wall, and the chance to name someone in the game. You can also opt to pay just $ 18 for just DRM-free and Steam copies of the game. You can check out the latest alpha trailer below. Road Redemption is currently being prepared for release to Windows, Mac, and Linux, with Steam and Wii U coming down the line.
