We’ve been celebrating the 35th anniversary of the behemoth video game franchise, Mario. The iconic character is known for the wide variety of Nintendo video games and hardware. However, over the years, there have been some attempts to bring out a new video game experience for fans. One of the ways Nintendo is helping celebrate the character while giving both veteran players and new fans a chance to relive some of the more memorable 3D titles, a Mario video game collection launched into the market.
This collection was a surprise for fans as it gave three games bundled into one Nintendo Switch cartridge. Included in the mix were Super Mario 64, Super Mario Sunshine, and Super Mario Galaxy. However, that wasn’t the only blast from the past for Mario fans. Nintendo also brought out a new battle royale game in the vein of the original Super Mario Bros video game.
Using the collection of old school Mario levels, players would attempt to be the last man standing as they fire out random enemy mobs to the opposing player’s levels. It’s very similar to the likes of Tetris 99 if you’re familiar with the game. Best of all this game is completely for free for players if they are Nintendo Online subscribers.
However, fans are now discovering an Easter Egg for Super Mario Bros. 35. It turns out that players can uncover Luigi and play like him too but there is a requirement. In order to unlock Luigi players will have to complete all the levels. From there, all you need to do is hold down the L button when starting the game level up. This will change the Mario character into Luigi which certainly has others wondering if there are potentially other Easter Eggs left to be uncovered for this game.
