We have verification that the duplication glitch in Minecraft for PS3 and Xbox 360 has not been patched following TU14, meaning resources are up for grabs, assuming you want to use this hack.
Emeralds are particularly vulnerable to this hack, since they can be assembled into block form. Subsequently, emeralds are easily used as an infinitely reproducible trading item, allowing you to acquire pretty much anything villagers will sell to you.
The glitch is pretty easy to do. Collect nine emeralds and form it into a block. Place the block anywhere you’d like. Use the pickaxe on it to break it down. At the moment the block breaks down, you need to press the right analog trigger or bumper on your PS3 or Xbox 360 controller. If you pull this off successfully, you should see a block come up both in your inventory slot and on the same spot you originally placed it.
Obviously, this will make the game infinitely easier, and also possibly ruin the point of it. Whether you want to use it or not, there is no penalty for using this hack, and knowing 4J Studios, it will take some time for them to release the next Title Update for them to remove it. This is assuming they would even be inclined to do so.
The question is would you use this glitch to potentially ruin your fun of the game, or will you never touch, or just pick it up on occasion to get through some rough spots? Let us know what you think below. Minecraft is playable now on PC, Xbox 360 and Playstation 3.
