Little Nightmares II was a surprise reveal from the development team Tarsier Studios at Gamescom 2019. The studio kept things hush-hush until it was ready to unveil it onto the masses. While the Gamescom 2019 unveil only showcased a small announcement trailer, we learned a few little tidbits about the overall title. For starters, we know that the story will take place in a new area and even a brand new protagonist. However, some of the more fine details have been kept a secret from fans until it gets closer to its release date.
Now that we’re going through Gamescom once again, we received another trailer. This year’s event has been a bit different thanks to the coronavirus health pandemic outbreak that is going on right now. As a result, we’re seeing more streams take place and during the first day of Gamescom, we got the latest trailer for Little Nightmares II that looks incredibly terrifying. In this trailer, we get a deeper look at two other characters outside of the former protagonist. Still, one thing is clear, the world is still just as dangerous as before.
There’s certainly a group worldwide that enjoy these platformers featuring young kids going against all odds. With the success of Limbo, Inside, and Little Nightmares, there are quite a few players out there that are interested in getting their hands on a copy of this upcoming installment. However, we’ll have to wait a bit longer before we’re able to play the game.
As it stands right now, Little Nightmares II is slated to release into the market for PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch platforms on February 11, 2021. With that said, developers Tarsier Studios will have a PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X release at a later date.
