The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Senior Art Producer Michał Krzemiński has said that he believes it's "pointless" to discuss a game's resolution until it's finished.
In an interview with gamesTM, the CD Projekt RED developer was asked whether there would be a difference in resoltion between formats to which he responded:
“If you’re asking me to throw a rock in the PS4 vs. Xbox One resolution war, I won’t. The game is not finished and talking about resolutions, framerates and min. specs (for PC) is, I think, pointless. Everything can change during the optimization process at the end of development. Rest assured, we’re working our butts off make The Witcher 3 run and feel equally awesome on every platform.”
A number of recent and soon-to-be released games including Thief and Metal Gear Solid 5: Ground Zeroes have higher resolutions on PS4 than Xbox One.
The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt will be the final chapter of Geralt's story but CD Projekt RED has said that the franchise will continue. The game is set for release this year and offers over 100 hours of content and three playable epilogues.
