Reviews of Dark Souls 2 are coming in, with the first coming from major Japanese publication, Famitsu. The publication, which had previously scored the original Dark Souls a 37 out of 40, has given its sequel the exact same score. While the review isn’t out yet, Famitsu has seen fit to publish the game’s score. It's for the PS3 and Xbox 360 versions of the game.
For those not in the know, Famitsu uses an xx/40 scoring system as it employs four game reviewers to take a look at each title. In this case, three reviewers gave the game a 9 while one gave it a 10.
The preview of the article itself doesn’t have much in the way of new information—at least none that we already know about Dark Souls 2.
Screenshots of the magazine spread (not scans) can be found at Famitsu’s website here. The review will be out in the March 6 issue of the publication.
