BioWare has "discussed" the possibility of remastering the Mass Effect trilogy for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One according to General Manager Aaryn Flynn.
Addressing a comment on Twitter sent on December 9th about the possibility of a remake, Flynn yesterday commented, "We have discussed that internally. If we can put solid plans together we'll share. Great to hear you're keen."
Flynn's comments do not confirm that a Mass Effect remaster is in the works nor whether any such compliation would offer 60fps/1080p settings as suggested but his remarks do leave open the possibility.
A number of games have been re-released for PS4 and Xbox One boasting superior graphics over their predecessors such as Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition.
Meanwhile, BioWare is currently developing the next installment of the Mass Effect series with it being revealed in late January that motion capture is underway at the studio while "amazing" new environments have been added.
The original Mass Effect trilogy was released on PC, PS3, and Xbox 360. Mass Effect 3 was also released on Wii U and there have been a number of spin-off titles for iOS devices.
