Warner Bros. has announced Batman: Arkham Origins' story based DLC, Cold, Cold Heart which will be released on April 22nd for PC, PS3, and Xbox 360. The Wii U version of the game will not be supported and Warner Bros. has yet to reveal pricing details.
The DLC, teased in January, sees Mr. Freeze attack Wayne Manor while Cold, Cold Heart was officially named and dated with a cinematic trailer in the DC All Access video above.
Speaking about the DLC, Warner Bros. vice president of production Ames Kirshen, described Cold, Cold Heart as a "big, open world narrative-based DLC" which serves as an origin story for Mr Freeze. He elaborated, commenting:
"It's like a mini chapter in the game. If you guys played and saw 'Initiation', it was more like a challenge map that had a little narrative wrapped around it.
"This is in-game mission story content with a brand new story wrapped around Mr Freeze in the Arkham Origins settings."
Warner Bros. has been criticised for its decision to develop new DLCs rather than working on patches to fix the Arkham Origins' bugs, some of which are game-breaking.
It was recently announced that Arkham Origins spin-off title Blackgate will be released for PC, PS3, Xbox 360, and Wii U on April 2nd.
