Red Barrels' survival horror thriller, Outlast, isn’t done putting goose bumps on the millions of PC and PS4 owners brave enough to download the game. A new piece of DLC titled, “Whistleblower” will make its way to both platforms soon, letting players explore the Mount Massive asylum before the events of the main campaign.
A post on the developer’s Facebook page gives all the details on the additional content.
"Whistleblower will let you play as Waylon Park, a software engineer under contract with Murkoff and the man who emailed journalists around the world – including Miles – at the beginning of Outlast," it reads. "Spending a couple of weeks at Mount Massive, during which he was unable to even talk to his wife and son in Boulder thanks to strict security protocols, Weylon developed a deep-seated distrust of the profit-motivated scientists and doctors leading dangerous and irresponsible experiments on their patients.
"Identifying with those poor souls fueled Weylon's anger, and set the stage for his unmasking of Mount Massive's rotten core."
PlayStation Plus members can download the game for free right now, so if you live in an area where screaming at the top of your lungs while playing games is kosher, now’s the perfect time to experience the core content of Outlast.
