Towerfall Ascension Hitting PS4, Steam in March

February 21, 2014 by Josiah Renaudin

The crazy multiplayer combat game is finally finding a home on new platforms in the spring.

Towerfall currently stands as the only reason to buy an Ouya. The multiplayer arena-brawling title originally launched on the Android-based device last year, but rave review and high consumer demand have helped push the product to new frontiers. The updated Towerfall Ascension will be making its way to both the PlayStation 4 and PC March 11, which is now just a few weeks away.

We had already been told during a PS4 launch event last year that Towerfall would jump to new platforms, but developer Matt Thorson has finally let the release date out of the bag. If you’ve never heard of the game, think of an archery combat platformer with mechanics that are simple to grasp but difficult to master. The local multiplayer allows for plenty of friendly hijinks, so if you do plan on picking the game up, consider inviting a few friends over that same day.
