It’s not always smart to go off of a single Tweet when it comes to pertinent game news, but the long-silent EA Sports NBA Jam Twitter account has managed to give hope to fans through a few simple characters. The account came out of a two-year slumber to post the below statement, hinting toward what could be a fresh entry in the over-the-top sports series.
Retweet if you’re ready for a new NBA JAM!

Really, this could be anything. It would be exciting to see a new NBA Jam game on the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, but a mobile version of the franchise could also be in the works. This isn’t exactly one of EA Sports flagship brands, so don’t expect a $60 retail release with this one.
People absolutely care about basketball games, though, if NBA 2K14 is any indication. EA’s most recent stab at the Live brand fell flat, so this could be a good comeback story for the massive publisher.
