We have found a neat trick that will allow you to do voice commands on the PS4 without a headset.
As you might have guessed from the image above, the trick involves buying a really tiny microphone to put in that PS4 controller audio jack. This is the Edutige EIM-001 i-Microphone Voice Recorder, available in Amazon now for $ 26, far below the cost of a top of the line headset.
It can record as much as 12dB sound, and was made for situations like business meetings and lectures, so it’s more than capable of recording your voice for the PS4 to hear and understand.
As the user who revealed his little hack has shared, using this mic will allow you to play without hearing in-game voice chat.
