ORIGINAL STORY: EA has announced FIFA Brazil World Cup 2014 for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.
This isn't the first time EA Sports has released a separate FIFA title for the World Cup but this time they're making a few changes to the formula which may be of interest to virtual football fans.
Gamers will be able to guide a country through the qualifers and both passing and dribbling have been enhanced over FIFA 14. The changes will allow for more fluid movement, better control, and improved animations. Player acceleration both on and off the ball is also being overhauled following criticisms of this aspect of FIFA 14.
Penalties are being improved and keepers will have enhanced AI. A series of "Brazilian inspired" skill moves will also be implemented.
Training will also be available for players through 18 drills which can improve six attributes. The game will also attempt to reflect reactions in home countries to your team's success.
EA says:
"With 203 national teams, 7,469 players, 19 officially licensed managers, and 21 new stadiums including all 12 authentic stadiums from Brazil, the 2014 FIFA World Cup comes to life with more detail and authenticity than ever before. Feel the support of a nation with all-new crowd scenes including banners, flags, and seat cards in the stadium, and from Live City events in all corners of the globe."
FIFA Brazil World Cup 2014 is not planned for PS4 or Xbox One and will be released on previous generation consoles on April 15th.
