Assassin's Creed Freedom Cry, which was originally released as DLC for last year’s Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag, will be making its way to PC and the PlayStation Store as a standalone title. So, interested players won’t need the main game to enjoy this unique piece of content.
The story of Adewale, who finds freedom from slavery and becomes a pirate, will be making its way to PlayStation platforms Feb. 18, while the PC version will become available Feb. 25. The release trailer makes no mention of the Xbox 360 or Xbox One, so this might be a deal Ubisoft has struck with Sony. The French publisher has provided a brief description of the content for those unfamiliar with Freedom Cry.
“Born a slave, Adewale found freedom as a pirate,” it reads.”Now, he has become a trained Assassin and an illustrious member of the Brotherhood. Forced to face his past, he sets out to free slaves and bring death to their captors.”
