Valve continues to refine and evolve their growing Steam platform with a beta service that allows Steam users to stream games between PCs in their home.
With the 'In-Home' streaming, Valve wants players to make their games a more comfortable or portable experience. The streaming service ideally lets players stream from gaming rigs an office or bedroom to laptops located in other rooms.
The streaming services also give players a variety of options to improve streaming performance. Players can adjust bandwidth settings to allocate specific amounts of space, or they can even adjust resolution settings for smaller monitors that won't benefit from a higher aspect ratio.
Players invited to the Steam streaming service can participate in discussion or resolve any issue through the Steam In-Home Streaming community. Steam recently released game sharing for all users after a Steam Family Options beta. The feature lets players share their Steam game libraries with up to 10 family members or friends.
