Don’t expect any sort of multiplayer component waiting for you when Infamous: Second Son launches on the PlayStation 4 this spring.
Ken Schramm, the game’s brand development director, spoke with Taiwanese site UDN (via Dualshockers) about the topic, confirming that the story of Delsin was designed as a one-man operation since the beginning. Sure, you’ll run into multiple NPCs and friendly faces in the game’s impressive open world, but there won’t be any cooperative or competitive features to speak of.
Other than that, you can expect Second Son to be structured like your average Infamous game. Along with the main story, dozens of side quests will be ready and waiting to be completed. Not all will be open to all players, though, as being considered “good” will lock a certain segments of the “evil” missions.
Infamous: Second Son will be available March 21. Along with the vanilla game, a limited and collector’s edition will also be released.
