Square Enix has announced that Final Fantasy 14: A Realm Reborn will have a beta and shall launch on April 14th for PlayStation 4.
Pre-orders of the game for both the standard and limited editions are now open and those who opt for the Collector's Edition will receive:
- Special box featuring artwork by Yoshitaka Amano
- Art Book – The Art of Eorzea: A Realm Reimagined Special
- Soundtrack -The Sounds of Eorzea-
- Seventh Umbral Era Special Movie Content Disc – The Waning of the Sixth Sun
- Art Card Set
- Themed Security
- Token In-Game Items – Coeurl Mount, Behemoth Barding, Baby Behemoth minion, Helm of Light, Fat Chocobo Mount and Wind-up Moogle minion
Those who pre-order will have the chance to play a few days ahead of everyone else on April 11th. A free beta will be available from February 22nd.
Players who own the PS3 version of the game will be able to transfer to the PS4 from April 11th but will not be able to return to PS3 version after that date.
