The writer behind iconic and much-beloved survival-horror franchise Dead Space has a new that will be unveiled during the PlayStation 5 event. Antony Johnston is a writer that has worked on several projects over the years though you may best know him from this run of Dead Space video game titles and while the franchise had its faults, there has been plenty of gamers wondering if there would ever be a revival of this franchise. Now it looks like a project that Antony Johnston has been working on for the past couple years will soon get unveiled.
There’s not much known about these secret projects other than that the writer has been working on it for the past two years. Since then it’s been preparing for a reveal during the PlayStation 5 stream which is slated to take place tomorrow. After being postponed likely initially due to the coronavirus health outbreak pandemic, there was also the American civil rights movement going on right now to cause the event to get pushed back by a week.
It’s worth noting that there is more than just Dead Space that Antony Johnston has worked on. Instead, he was responsible for Zombi, Binary Domain, The Assembly, and Middle-Earth: Shadow of Mordor. The reason that may have some wondering if this could be a Dead Space related is the fact that we’re going through a trend lately with remakes and remastered editions. If this game does get a revival it would not only provide veterans something to enjoy but also newcomers to the franchise that has yet to experience the series.
At any rate, this is all rumor and speculation as we don’t know just what the new project Antony Johnston has been working on for the past few years. Luckily, the wait to see just what the game will be is not a long one now.
