Today Nintendo has announced the release date for Yoshi's New Island, the upcoming sequel to the 1995 SNES original, Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island. Previously announced back in April, the game features the original producer on Yoshi's Island Takashi Tezuka. This morning it was announced that the UK and North America versions will debut simultaneously on March 14, 2014 on Nintendo 3DS.
Above is a teaser trailer from last month, illustrating the intense levels of cute and adorable that Nintendo has in store for us this spring. Here's hoping it satisfies my deep cravings for that Yoshi's Story sequel that I keep telling myself will never happen so I don't have to feel the pain.
