Square Enix has put together a new trailer for Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII showcasing the game’s evolved battle system. “What has it evolved from?” You might ask. Well, FFXIII and XIII-2, obviously.
There’s a lot of strategy and tactics involved with the new system, and how you perform in battle depends heavily on the equipment you use and customize.
In related news, the demo for the game is out now. Don’t forget to install it if you want to unlock a free costume DLC called the Utsusemi Garb, which includes the Heavenly Fan weapon and the Kaminari shield. Players on both systems can earn the Siegfried outfit when the game launches by submitting your battle score during the final battle against Zaltys.
The game is out for the PS3 and Xbox 360 on February 11, 2014.
