Information regarding the NGP and its games has been scarce, but the Playstation Blog posted earlier today with some brand new information regarding the upcoming games of the Sony handheld:
Uncharted: Golden Abyss
That's right; Uncharted is finally going to be traveling with us as it comes to the NGP. While the game is said to retain all crucial elements of the Uncharted franchise, it will also bring some new features to the table such as tilt and touch controls.
Josh Garvin, the creative director of the game, had this to say about what he hopes 'Golden Abyss' will offer the player in terms of story content: “We wanted to come up with an all-new story, and we didn't want it to be a direct prequel to 'Drake's Fortune' or sequel to 'Among Thieves'.”
Wipeout 2048
The lightning-fast franchise 'Wipeout' will be making its way to the NGP as well. The game is a prologue to the rest of the series, where the world is just discovering 'Anti-Grav Racing'. One of the new features is the ability to race with other players who are online via 'Wipeout HD Fury', a PS3 game.
Little Deviants
“A collection of games, each game focuses on new aspects of the hardware that Sony is introducing.” is how Richard Ogden, the game's Design Director described 'Little Deviants'.
Some of the mini-games include, but are not limited to:
House of Wax – Involves tapping on both the front and rear portions of the console.
Box Blast – Augmented Reality/First-Person Shooter game in which you are tasked in protecting the 'Deviants'.
Depth Charge – Game utilizing the motion sensor, for tasks which are not yet clear.
