Similar to our last check-in on the EA Sports UFC roster, this week’s update gives us a taste of both the UFC of old and the stars of the future. Say hello to “The Iceman” Chuck Liddell and Erik “Goyito” Perez.
Even if you’ve never watched a UFC event, you’ve probably heard of Liddell. The legendary brawler was one of the sport's earliest and brightest stars, knocking out just about every light heavyweight who crossed his path. He was a major pay-per-view draw, and while he had a rough stretch before the end of his career, the hall-of-fame fighter will always be remembered as one of the best.
Perez, on the other hand, is a young buck in the 135-pound division. He’s a Latino fighter with a great deal of national pride, which will be a big benefit for the UFC as the company enters Mexico in the near future.
