With only days after Sony showed off the cover art for Gran Turismo 5, Sony has announced that GT5 originally scheduled for a March release in Japan with a western release to follow has been delayed till further notice. Fans of the series who have been anticipating the release of the game for some time now could not have been more disappointed with the game now moving into the TBA(To Be Announced) status.
Some are speculating that Sony’s move to delay the game could be an excuse to stay away from the busy March release schedule which sees the release of highly anticipated titles namely “Final Fantasy XIII” and ps3 exclusive “God of War III“. A few people are also claiming that in a bid to promote it’s next generation 3D technology in televisions Sony could likely use Gran turismo 5, shown at CES in 3D, to woo it’s customers in buying into their new 3D technology.
We expect Sony to clear the air on this with another announcement soon.
