The next generation is here, everybody. I know you’re looking for flashier graphics, smarter AI, and modes only possible through the use of greater horsepower, but Ubisoft has decided to do something even bigger. The French publisher is making a Tetris game for the Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
The people who brought you Assassin’s Creed and Far Cry are here to remind you why you loved Tertis so much back in the good ol’ days. We know nothing about what the new acquisition will actually produce, but we can be sure it’ll look better than the puzzler has ever looked before.
"We're very excited to start working with this world-renowned brand," Ubisoft boss Yves Guillemot said. "[We] can't wait to combine Ubisoft's expertise and all the capacities of next-gen consoles to create an exciting new Tetris experience for fans."
The 30th anniversary of the game is coming up in June, so that just might be the perfect time to launch another block-based hit.
