Eurogamer reports that according to figures shown to the site, the Xbox 360 was the best selling home console in the UK last year and not the PS4 as announced last week by MCV.
While it's currently unclear which site is correct MCV said the PS4 and Xbox 360 were only a few thousand units apart and it's possible that both sets of figures are within a margin of error although no actual numbers have been produced.
Both sites agree that the Nintendo 3DS was the best selling system in the country last year, up four per cent on 2012.
Worryingly for Nintendo, however, is the fact that the PlayStation Vita outsold the Wii U.
Overall, hardware sales rose by five per cent on the previous year but revenues were up by 38 per cent thanks to the launch of the PS4 and Xbox One. The new consoles accounted for a third of all hardware sales despite their November releases.
