Mortal Kombat 11 Will Have A New Story DLC

May 5, 2020 by Dennis Patrick

More content for Mortal Kombat 11 is inbound.

Mortal Kombat 11 came out in 2019 and much like other installments into the franchise, fans were quick to pick up a copy and go through another epic battle with the long-running franchise fighter roster. This particular installment had a narrative that involved around different timelines and as a result, you’ll find a few different characters and costume options that should probably give some nostalgia if you’ve been around the franchise over the years.

While being out for over a year, it would have seemed that there wasn’t much left for the development studio to offer. We’ve seen a few DLC packs release into the market which would offer fans the ability to purchase extra characters and crossover fighters such as the Terminator, Joker, Spawn, among others. However, in a surprise announcement, it looks like those that are wanting a bit more narrative to chew through will get the chance.

The development studio, NetherRealm Studios, had released a brand new teaser video online that picks up at the end of Mortal Kombat 11. If you don’t want to read any spoilers then you may want to prevent from going any further into the post.

With that said, the end of Mortal Kombat 11 follows Liu Kang and Raiden rebuilding a timeline but according to the teaser video showcased online, they are stopped by Shang Tsung and two others in hopes of preventing an event that would doom them all. Since this game follows a narrative featuring different timelines, perhaps this could prove to be another event that will take players into a new era and perhaps align themselves with former enemies.

Currently, this is just a teaser video and the full trailer is slated to come out tomorrow, May 6, 2020. In the meantime, if you have yet to pick up Mortal Kombat 11 you can do so right now for the PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch platforms.
