This is a guide for the Urban Sniper Rifle for Call of Duty Ghosts.
The USR has exceedingly high damage. One shot is all you need to kill at any range, with consistent high damage across the board. You do need to make sure to hit the head, neck or torso to guarantee it, but looking at it another way, as long as you don’t hit the arms or legs you’re sure to get a kill. Looking at it another way, you will only have to worry about spotting and targeting your mark at the longest of ranges.
Of course, this gun can’t be OP. Rate of fire is low at 51 rounds per minute, and it has absolutely mediocre hip firing, which won’t change the fact that it hits so hard anyway. Obviously, you will be easily outclassed up close, so stay away from everyone.
Recoil is also terrible, but factored with low fire rate, it’s of no consequence. It does have a recoil compensator that decreases weapon kick as you raise your killstreak. Aim time is also slow at 400 ms. You do have the advantage of high mobility.
Magazine capacity has also been dropped to 6 rounds, 9 rounds for an extended magazine. Reload time is set at 3.50 seconds, and for what the USR does, reloads are generally merely an inconvenience.
Making the most of your consistent damage USR means getting the variable zoom attachment, so you get the POV that you need for every possible scenario. Every shot counts, and the chrome lined barrel will help increase the chances each shot you make is a killshot.
You’ll want to focus on Mobility perks to speed up performance, especially when it comes to targeting, reaction time, and reloading. Agility and Focus fit these needs to a tee. Quickdraw of course, is just the ticket when it comes to targeting and reloads, a good skill to build for those close encounter emergencies.
You will also want to get a handgun as a secondary, just so you can avoid being severely outclassed relying on the USR for close matches.
