We’ve seen quite a few screenshots of the light heavyweights featured on EA Sports UFC’s roster but this week, the EA team has decided to switch things up. Minotauro Nogueira, the former heavyweight champion, and Demetrious Johnson, the current and only flyweight champion, are the latest fighters to be given the pixilated treatment.
If you’ve been following this sport for any stretch of time, the name “Nogueira” should be familiar. The heavyweight legend of the Japanese Pride Fighting Championship has found much success inside the Octagon, and remains a top-flight athlete even with more than 40 fights and 37 years weighing him down.
Johnson, on the other hand, is known to be the fastest fighter in the sport. He’s the only man to ever hold the illustrious flyweight belt, and just recently defended the gold via a first-round KO. “Mighty Mouse” has speed, power, a slick submission game, and a stranglehold over the lightest weight class in the UFC.
Look to see more familiar faces of the sport in the coming weeks, right up until the spring launch of EA Sports UFC.
