Alien: Isolation will launch on the PS4, Xbox One, PS3, Xbox 360, and PC. So, just about every console under the sun that’s not handheld. However, when you take a closer look at that list, you’ll realize one big, dual-screened absence. SEGA failed to mention a Wii U version of the sci-fi game during yesterday’s announcement and according to Isolation’s official Twitter account, the lack of Nintendo wasn’t a mistake.
The publisher has reiterated that there are no plans for bringing the game to the console, even if there was still some hope lying in the hearts of dedicated Wii U owners.
@Krawzorz Right now, we don't have plans to put the game on Wii U.

It’s unfortunate news, but the Wii U just hasn’t garnered enough interest to stand as a viable third-party box. There was a big issue with the last Aliens game and Nintendo’s newest platform, too, but it seems like Wii U owners lucked out that time around by not having to deal with Gearbox’s FPS mess, Colonial Marines.
Look to hear more on Isolation in the coming months.
