Sony has announced that Insomniac Games' upcoming sci-fi themed FPS will be released on September 6th in the United States and on the 9th in the UK.
In Resistance 3, Players will revise the role of Joseph Capelli in the third iteration of the series, which puts him once again in the sights of the Chimeran occupying force, which has since taken over the United States.
Those who pre-order the title will receive exclusive unlocks including character skins, in-game weapons and a Chimera tooth necklace. They will also receive an experience boost to level 5 in the game's multiplayer mode.
In addition to a regular offering, the game will come in the form of two limited editions: a Special Limited Edition will carry the game in a tin case and carry all of the pre-order items, as well as a vinyl looking Blu-ray disc. A more expensive Survival Edition will come in a backpack, a Chimera gun range poster, toy soldiers, a hip flask, playing cards, and a journal belonging to the game's protagonist.
Resistance 3 is exclusive to the PlayStation 3.
Resistance 3 is confirmed for a September release, and will be available in three versions for the PlayStation 3.
