Look, PlayStation Plus is pretty great. The games, discounts, and early access to betas that Sony offers is just tough to beat, but Microsoft is at least putting in a bit more of an effort into 2014. We were given games that came out five or six years ago when Games with Gold first started, but for the month of January, the Xbox maker is giving its paying customers the opportunity to download both Sleeping Dogs and Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light.
These aren’t exactly new releases, but both products are highly rated and absolutely worth your time if you missed out on playing them early on. Sleeping Dogs is an open-world game set in the bustling city of Hong Kong, while Guardian of Light is a cooperative take on the classic Tomb Raider franchise.
As long as you’re a member of Xbox Live Gold, you’ll be able to download these fine pieces of software for free in January.
