Hearthstone is one of the most popular digital CCG video games out there. It’s an easy to understand and addictive game where players collect cards and battle against opponents through a few different game modes. However, since its release, there hasn’t been a change-up in terms of adding a new class into the mix. There’s a lot that goes into making sure the game is balanced and adding a new hero with their own cards can really become a difficult task with developers.
With that said, we now know that Demon Hunter is a new class that will be coming to Hearthstone on April 7th. This class features Illidan Stormrage who is a bloodthirsty hero that doesn’t seem to concern himself with his own faction deaths. As a result, we could see some cards come out that offer some benefits if the character dies in battle or perhaps even sacrificed by your own hands.
This hero will also come with one mana Hero Power. While traditionally the Hero Powers typically cost two mana, this power will give players a +1 boost to the hero attack power for one turn. After that, the attack power drops back to normal unless likely further buffed from another assortment of cards.
We’re not going to just receive a new hero on April 7, 2020, but also the expansion, Ashes of Outland. For now, we know the hero and his power, but we’re eager to see what class-specific cards will come with the expansion. Likewise, it’s going to be interesting to see just how players take up with the new hero class option going forward with the game.
