MODO Steam Edition is coming to PC on December 10th and to show off what's possible with the concept creation toolkit The Foundry has put together a 'deathsickle' for DOTA 2.
Using MODO's "flexible and powerful" 3D modeling suite allows users to create a host of weapons and items for both DOTA 2 and Team Fortress 2.
Describing the weapon, The Foundry said:
"Meet the 'Deathsickle,' an oh-so-sweet Necrolyte weapon crafted from scratch for DOTA 2 using MODO Steam Edition. Badass, is it not? With an expansive toolset that lets you model, manipulate, texture, and paint just about any zany piece of gear you can imagine, MODO Steam Edition is perfect for DOTA 2 enthusiasts, modders, and aspiring game developers who want to put their own unique touch on the gameplay experience."
MODO Steam Edition costs $149 and will be coming to Mac soon after the PC release. The Foundry's tech has been used for games like Rage, Doom 4, Borderlands 2, and Sly Cooper: Thieves in Time and it'll be interesting to see what Steam users can do with MODO once they get their hands on it.
You can check out the Deathsickle, which is said to contain the soul crushing power of Death himself, in action below.
