Yager, the studio behind the critically-acclaimed Spec Ops: The Line, appears to be stepping back from the creation of seriously good art to work on a free-to-play action game. Bummer. Pegged for release on previous-gen, current-gen and the PC, Yager has opened up several job listings on its official website for the development of an F2P title.
Based on the descriptions of the jobs, the game is expected to be a military shooter with a multiplayer component.
"We're looking for a designer with the experience to take the lead on level design for an exciting new AAA F2P project," reads the description for Senior Multiplayer Level Designer. Other descriptions seek artists to develop real-time speical effects for a "Next Gen action game."
The project has yet to be revealed in full, but development of the game has since been disclosed as an Unreal Engine 4-powered shooter built around a "micro-transaction based model."
