In 2019 we got the launch of a new video game platform that is looking to compete with the likes of Nintendo, Microsoft, and Sony. We’re referring to Google’s Stadia streaming service. The announcement at first cause some confusion with some consumers as there was some speculation that the game service would provide users with all the latest big-name titles all while just paying for a subscription monthly fee.
While the game service didn’t provide all the games for a fixed cost, there was a premium subscription that would grant some free video game titles. Overall, the game service offers the ability to stream video games from Google’s servers, essentially allowing the game to be played on any device that is able to connect on the internet. However, consumers would still have to purchase the games and if you wish to enjoy some of the more advanced features then you would be forced to pay a subscription fee.
Stadia Pro is available for $9.99 and with it comes the ability to play games in 4K with 5.1 surround sound. It also comes packed with free games that would be released regularly. While the game service came with Destiny 2: The Collection, we’re now getting word of two new video game titles being included in the subscription.
Announced through the Stadia Savepoint, we know that GYLT and Metro Exodus will be included on Stadia Pro in February of this year. It may be a good couple of video game titles to be added with the likes of Rise of the Tomb Raider and Samurai Showdown. Likewise, it’s worth noting that GYLT was a Google Stadia exclusive and we know that more exclusives for the platform are coming soon.
