Today we’re looking at a review of the bolt action rifle, the FY-JS in Battlefield 4.
The FY-JS outputs between 36.6 and 100 damage. It has a muzzle velocity of 630 meters per second and a rate of fire of 54 RPM. Its magazine has a capacity of 11 rounds, and it reloads between 2.6 to 4.8 seconds.
At only 12.5 meters, damage can already drop down to as low as 36.6 damage, meaning it can take as much as three shots to kill an opponent with it. Obviously, this gun is no sniper rifle. It is intended to be used aggressive and up close. You can take enemies with two shots within 50 meters, but you will want to go for headshots with it, and you know that you can.
With the magazine size and lower recoil, you know that it is a close up killing machine. Compared to the Scout and the SRR-61, the FY-JS is mostly somewhere in between. It beats them both in terms of magazine size, although the SRR-61 is better if you really want to specialize in close quarters combat, and the Scout has that much more versatility as a long range weapon. Of course, for many players, the FY-JS is the perfect gun for their playstyle.
Here’s the preferable loadout with the FY-JS: CL6x for magnification scope, laser sight for secondary attachment, and straight pull bolt as an attachment. You can use any barrel attachment of your choice, but the FY-JS can do just fine without it.
